Thibault Genissel

I am a researcher in conservation sciences. My doctoral work focused on the evocentric approach to biodiversity conservation, which targets the impact of human activities on the evolutionary trajectories of species. My academic background is multidisciplinary, educated at the ENS de Lyon across biosciences and environmental philosophy, and I have a deep interest in understanding and protecting the living.

Alongside my research, I bring science to general audiences through talks on biodiversity, the history of conservation, and environmental ethics. Beyond conveying reliable scientific knowledge, my aim is to provide keys to understanding and a critical perspective on contemporary challenges — on our individual and collective place in the transformations our societies are inevitably undergoing.
